Ethnology Without Borders 2017

Dear All,

In April this year, it's been 5 years since the first edition of the International Convention for Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology Students from Central Europe ETHNOLOGY WITHOUT BORDERS that was organized at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Ethnology and Sciences of Education in Cieszyn. Since then, the convention was hosted in Kraków (in 2013), in Budapest (in 2014), in Warsaw (in 2015) and in Szeged (2016).

I am very happy that this annual meeting became a platform of sharing of our ethnological and anthropological experiences. We can all agree that Ethnology Without Borders is becoming our small tradition.

I am pleased to announce that the next 6th edition of Ethnology Without Borders will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, the 25th & 26th of September 2017.

If you haven't been yet contacted by the organizers, please find attached the Call for Papers. If you are no more studying or working in your Ethnological Institute, please share this info with anyone who may be interested by this event.

I would also like to encourage you to consider the opportunity to host and organize the next 7th edition of EWB. I advise you to apply for a grant awarded by Visegrad Fund (the organizers of EWB received a Small Grant respectively in 2012, 2013 and 2014) and I will be very happy to share with you all the information about the application process. As Visegrad Fund calendar is fixed, if you wish to apply for a grant, you have to anticipate everything in advance. Please think about it and forward this information to your colleagues from student organization and your professors; if you are keen to organize the next edition, don't hesitate to share it during the EWB in Bratislava.
